The Franklin College of Arts and Sciences’ comparative literature department will host a spring jamboree to showcase the many cultures within the department.
“CMLT Jamboree: Languages, Cultures and Literatures of the World” will be held April 2 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on the front lawn of Joe Brown Hall. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside to the building’s main lobby.
Students from the Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Swahili, Vietnamese and Yoruba language programs will provide a sampling of native food and music, teach some simple phrases in their native languages and offer cultural awareness through performances including dancing, skits and a fashion show.
