Steve “Chickenhawk” Bryant named Assistant Athletic Trainer of the Year

Assistant athletic trainer Steve “Chickenhawk” Bryant was named the Assistant Athletic Trainer of the Year for Division I by the College and University Athletic Trainers Committee at the annual National Athletic Trainers Association convention in Indianapolis.

Bryant has been a member of UGA’s athletic training staff for more than two decades, joining the UGA staff on a full-time basis in 1982 after serving as a student athletic trainer as an undergraduate. During his career, he has served as the head trainer for men’s and women’s teams as well as co-head trainer for the football team. He currently oversees the athletic training room at Stegeman Coliseum.
