Tenured university professor ranked No. 4 in job portal website CareerCast’s top 10 list of least stressful jobs.
CareerCast’s list ranked professor as one of the least stressful jobs for the second year in a row using a formula that incorporates travel, growth potential and deadlines, among other factors. The list created a stir last year because the rankings failed to differentiate tenured professors from adjunct.
The top “least stressful” job on the list was audiologist (someone who diagnoses and treats hearing problems), followed by hair stylist and jeweler.
CareerCast ranked enlisted military personnel as the most stressful job.
