Total enrollment for summer semester at UGA is 15,731 students. Overall enrollment increased by 1.1 percent from last year. While enrollment at the extended campuses is down slightly, 2.6 percent, the enrollment in independent study is up 22.9 percent.
A total of 14,749 students are attending summer classes at the Athens campus, an increase of 130 from last year. The figure includes 10,163 undergraduates, 4,141 graduate students and 445 students enrolled in the professional schools.
Total enrollment at UGA’s extended campuses is 639 students, down from last year’s total of 656, though some areas are experiencing enrollment growth.
Enrollment at UGA’s extended campus in Buckhead increased by 8.1 percent from last summer with a total of 213 students. While there are 160 students in the evening M.B.A. program, a 13.5 percent increase from last summer, enrollment in the Executive M.B.A. program decreased by 28.6 percent to 40 students. The Ed.D. in higher education management program is new for 2010 and has 13 students.
Enrollment at the Griffin Campus is 76 students, including 30 undergraduate students, down from 35 last summer and 46 graduate students, up from 40 last year.
Fourteen students are enrolled at UGA’s Tifton Campus. Both graduate and undergraduate enrollment are down with seven students each; a 46.2 percent decrease for graduate enrollment and a 50 percent decrease for undergraduate enrollment.
Graduate enrollment at UGA’s Gwinnett Campus totals 336, a decrease of 5.9 percent from last summer.
An additional 343 students are enrolled in UGA independent study programs.
