The Post Office in the Tate Student Center will close permanently May 31.
Based on a decline in mail revenue, new contractual agreements do not provide adequate funding to support a campus post office. A U.S. post office located in downtown Athens offers services that were offered at the Tate Center Post Office.
Individuals who rent post office boxes at the Tate Center location will be personally notified of the closing. Questions can be directed to Dwayne Weaver at ldweaver@uga.edu or 706-542-7312.
