The deadline for electronic submission of the applications and nominations for the 2004-05 Lilly Teaching Fellows program is Feb. 27. Detailed information about the program as well as application and nomination forms are available on the Web (www.isd.uga.edu/faculty/lilly.html) or from the Office of Instructional Support and Development (542‑1355).
The Lilly Teaching Fellows program provides up to 10 junior tenure-track faculty members with an opportunity to enhance their teaching skills by sharing teaching strategies, by interacting with senior faculty mentors who are outstanding teachers, and by designing and implementing instructional projects to strengthen each Fellow’s courses and teaching methods.
Candidates must be in their first, second or third year at the university and must have demonstrated a strong commitment to teaching and to the improvement of teaching at UGA. Approximately 20 applicants will be selected for personal interviews; up to 10 Fellows will be selected from that group.
