P. George Benson, dean of UGA’s Terry College of Business, has announced two new administrative appointments.
Stephen P. Baginski is the new associate dean for academic programs, and Daniel C. Feldman has been named to the newly created half-time position of associate dean for research. Feldman is responsible for increasing faculty research productivity and the number and size of extramural research grants awarded to Terry College faculty. He also will continue to serve as interim head of the management department and director of the college’s Leadership Research Consortium.
Baginski joined the accounting faculty in 2002 from Indiana University, where he was a PricewaterhouseCoopers Fellow and chair of doctoral programs at the Kelley School of Business. He holds the Herbert E. Miller Chair of Financial Accounting in the Tull School of Accounting. As associate dean, Baginski will oversee all undergraduate and graduate programs in business and their accreditation. These programs include a bachelor’s degree in business administration, seven master’s degree programs led by the master of business administration (M.B.A.) degree and doctoral programs in eight academic disciplines.
In addition to the two new administrative appointments, Benson also announced that Sandra G. Gustavson continues in her role as associate dean. Her new title is associate dean for faculty and administration. Her responsibilities include budgetary matters, faculty recruiting, faculty promotion and tenure, annual merit review, staff issues and facilities.
