The Charlotte Observer, in an article about hardships facing many states’ flagship universities, quoted Nancy McDuff, associate vice president for admissions and enrollment management at UGA. The article centered on how institutions are dealing with increased enrollment and decreased funds.
“At most flagship universities, as demand goes up, acceptance rates will come down unless they are sitting on unused capacity,” McDuff said.
