The Georgia United Credit Union is collecting new toys and gifts for those in the Clarke County Department of Family and Children’s Services foster children program.
Each Georgia United office has a Christmas tree with specific foster children’s wishes listed on ornaments. Interested donors can select a wish and return a new, unwrapped toy or gift to the credit union by Dec. 13.
Monetary donations also can be made to the Wish Tree fund instead of shopping.
New toys or clothing can be dropped off at either of the two Athens’ Georgia United branch locations, 190 Gaines School Road or 1701 S. Lumpkin St., before Dec. 14. The donations are part of the 23rd annual Wish Tree program.
