Two U.S. senators will speak at Mason Public Leadership Lecture on Jan. 28

U.S. Sens. Mark Warner (D-Va.) and Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) will share their views on leadership and public service Jan. 28 at 10:10 a.m. at the Chapel as part of the Terry Leadership Speaker Series Mason Public Leadership Lecture. Warner, who will deliver the lecture, will be introduced by Chambliss and both will participate in the question-and-answer session following the lecture.

The Mason Public Leadership Lecture is supported by a grant from Keith Mason, a lawyer and alumnus of UGA’s Terry College of Business. It features prominent business leaders who have contributed significantly to their communities or spent time in a public service role.

Both Warner and Chambliss have experience with leadership in business and government. Both senators were original members of the Gang of Six, which later became the Gang of Eight-a bipartisan group of senators working toward a long-term solution to the nation’s debt challenges. The Gang has expanded to include 45 members of the Senate and 100 members of the House of Representatives.
