Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia has awarded the Shaw-White Family Scholarship to incoming freshmen Christopher George Perry Guess and Katie Rosenbalm.
Guess, a Ringgold High School graduate, is the son of Scott Guess and Kimberly Guess. Rosenbalm, a Dade County High School graduate from Trenton, is the daughter of David and Tonya Rosenbalm.
This scholarship is a financial need-based award for outstanding students from northwest Georgia high schools. The award provides $2,000 per year in addition to the HOPE Scholarship.
The award can be renewed for another three years of undergraduate study if the recipients maintain certain academic standards.
