Presidents Club donors contributed nearly $205 million to UGA in FY24

The University of Georgia Presidents Club Reception was held on Nov. 15 in the Tate Student Center Grand Hall, where nearly 700 donors and guests gathered for an evening celebration of their commitment to the university.

“It’s truly wonderful to witness the remarkable generosity of our Presidents Club donors in support of this university,” said UGA President Jere W. Morehead. “Their unwavering loyalty not only reinforces our mission but also propels us forward in our ongoing pursuit of excellence.”

The Presidents Club is a group of alumni and friends who give $1,500 or more to the university within a single fiscal year. In FY24, more than 9,300 Presidents Club donors contributed nearly $205 million to UGA. Their gifts have advanced a wide range of initiatives, including scholarships, facilities projects, endowed professorships and community outreach programs, supporting UGA and its students today and far into the future.

“Each contribution made by these donors has such a meaningful impact on our students, faculty and communities,” said Jill S. Walton, vice president for development and alumni relations. “We look forward to continuing to celebrate these donors for the positive difference they have made to our university.”

Members of the Presidents Club come from 48 states and territories across the U.S. Many of them can be found in and around the university: 445 members are current or former UGA employees.
