UGA expert available to speak on North Korean leader’s death

Athens, Ga. – University of Georgia professor Han Park is available to speak on the death of North Korean leader Kim Jong II, who died Saturday.

Park, director of the UGA Center for the Study of Global Issues, is an expert on North Korean-South Korean relations. In October, he met with representatives from both countries and the U.S. for informal Track II peace talks on the UGA campus.

Born in China to immigrant Korean parents, Park received his education in China, Korea and the U.S., with advanced degrees in political science from Seoul National University, the American University and the University of Minnesota. According to his website, Park has endeavored to find new ways to use his talents and abilities to serve humankind throughout his life.
