UGA Health Center hosts Dawg Gone Healthy Day Festival

Athens, Ga. – The third annual Dawg Gone Healthy Day will be held Thursday, April 23 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the Tate Student Center Plaza. The health festival will offer games, activities, prizes, music, free food and drinks. The event is sponsored by the University Health Center and its student groups.

This year the event has a Las Vegas theme, with the slogan “Don’t gamble with your health.” It will feature a variety of games including a push-up contest with a Texas Hold’em spin, a variety of health-related games and activities. Students attending the festival will increase awareness of health issues that affect them now and in the future. The event focuses on healthy choices, healthy living and healthy fun.

Over two hundred prizes, donated by local merchants, will be given away during the festival. The prizes range from a free massage, to free dental cleaning and certificates for food, activities, clothing and gifts. All students participating in activities are eligible to win a prize.
