UGA health center to sponsor Dawg Gone Healthy Day festival

Athens, Ga. – The second annual Dawg Gone Healthy Day will be held on Monday, April 14 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., on the Tate Plaza. The health festival will offer games, activities, prizes, music, free food and drinks. The event is sponsored by the University Health Center.

This year the event has a Olympic theme, featuring a variety of games including limbo-lympics, a hula hoop contest and push-up competition. Students attending the festival will increase awareness of health issues that affect them now and in the future. The event focuses on healthy choices, healthy living and healthy fun.

Over a hundred prizes donated by local merchants will be given away during the festival. The prizes range from a signed UGA football, free massage, free dental cleaning, and gift certificates for food, activities, clothing and gifts. All students participating in activities will be eligible. Over 100 prizes will be given away.
