UGA launches first Well-Being Fair

The University of Georgia Arch on a sunny day

Faculty and staff at the University of Georgia will have a new opportunity to prioritize their well-being this spring with the inaugural UGA Well-Being Fair, taking place April 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tate Student Center Grand Hall.

Centered on the theme “Every Part of You Matters,” the event highlights UGA’s commitment to a whole-person approach to well-being supporting mental clarity, physical health, financial confidence and a strong sense of community. The fair is designed as a dynamic, drop-in experience where faculty and staff can explore practical tools, connect with campus and local partners and focus on improving their overall well-being.

Throughout the event, attendees can explore a wide range of engaging activities and resources. They can take advantage of biometric and blood pressure screenings, attend mini information sessions offered every 15 minutes and watch live cooking demonstrations.

The fair also offers opportunities to give back through a blood drive and donations to the UGA Student Pantry, along with interactive resource tables, chair massages and giveaways. Whether employees stop by for a quick visit or stay longer, there’s something for everyone.

“The Well-Being Fair provides faculty and staff with a valuable opportunity to connect with campus partners and explore resources that support their growth and overall well-being,” said Juanita W. Hicks, vice president and chief human resources officer.

While the event is drop-in and does not require general registration, biometric screenings and blood donations require an appointment to be scheduled in advance, and space is limited. Visit the event website to learn more. Employees are encouraged to coordinate with their supervisors to attend as schedules allow.
