The University of Georgia Press will hold its annual Dirty Book Sale on Oct. 7 and 8 on the plaza of the Tate Student Center.
For the first time, the sale will be open only to valid UGA ID holders from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Oct. 7. The remainder of the sale-1-4 p.m. on Oct. 7 and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Oct. 8-will be open to everyone.
The book sale features slightly damaged or shelf-worn books from the UGA Press’ Bogart warehouse. Books in a range of subjects including nature writing, poetry, fiction, literary criticism and history will be available as well as general interest titles about Georgia and the South.
The sale will include thousands of books, most priced less than $5. All proceeds raised will benefit UGA Press.
Hourly paid parking will be available at the Tate Student Center and the Hull Street parking decks.
