UHC to host Dawg Gone Healthy Day festival

Athens, Ga. – Dawg Gone Healthy Day, sponsored by the University Health Center, will take place on Wednesday, April 18 from noon to 3 p.m. on the Tate Plaza. The festival will offer games, activities, prizes, music, free food and drinks.

The festival’s focus is to increase student awareness of health issues that affect them now. Every student group associated with the Health Center has teamed up with the health promotion department to organize an event that focuses on healthy choices, healthy living and healthy fun.

Students participating in games and activities are eligible to win one of the hundred prizes that will be given away. Prizes range from a signed UGA football, free massage, free dental cleaning and gift certificates for food to items and services from local businesses.

This event is part of Patient Appreciation Week, an opportunity to thank students for choosing UHC for their health care needs. For more information on UHC, see http://www.uhs.uga.edu/about/index.html.
