Uwe Happek, a professor of physics, has been named to the editorial board of Applied Physics B, Lasers and Optics. The journal concentrates on two of the most important areas of applied physics.
The appointment was made in recognition of Happek’s research in luminescent materials, including those for energy efficient lighting. He will oversee the review of manuscripts in the areas of phosphor materials, solid state lighting, fluorescent lighting, scintillators, biomedical imaging, luminescent quantum nanoparticles and general spectroscopy.
