UGA recently discovered a data file on a publicly available Web server that contained sensitive information on 18,931 members of the faculty and staff employed at the institution in 2002. To respond to questions about that discovery, how the university is dealing with and what other steps UGA is taking toward cybersecurity, Enterprise Information Technology Systems launched a special website called Fraud Concerns. The site allows users to sift through frequently asked questions detailing the university’s response and provides links for users interested in doing more to protect themselves online.
