[Editor’s note: This information was updated on June 23, 2014]. Preliminary work for the Science Learning Center on South Campus started June 3 with blasting and rock removal in parking lot S10.
In April, Gov. Nathan Deal signed into law the fiscal year 2015 state budget, which included $44.7 million for the construction of the Science Learning Center. The new building will add 33 modern teaching labs plus two lecture halls and two additional classrooms.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the Science Learning Center will be held Aug. 26 at 11:30 a.m.
