Writing Intensive Program call for course proposals due March 14

The Franklin College Writing Intensive Program invites proposals from arts and sciences departments and faculty in all disciplines for innovative undergraduate courses that encourage writing.

Again this year, departments interested in offering at least four WIP courses are invited to submit a department proposal. The call for proposals and submission form are available online. Click here to begin an online course or department proposal.

The Franklin College Writing Intensive Program aims to enhance undergraduate education by emphasizing the importance of writing in the disciplines. WIP offers “writing intensive” courses throughout the college — from art history to chemistry, from music to genetics. Faculty who teach WIP courses are supported by a WIP teaching assistant, who is specially trained in writing-in-the-disciplines pedagogy.

Please visit the WIP website or email Lindsey Harding at lharding@uga.edu for more information. Proposals will be accepted through March 14.
