Yao-wen Huang, a professor of food science and technology, is the new national president of Phi Tau Sigma, the honorary society for food science. It was founded at the University of Massachusetts in 1953 and the UGA chapter was the fourth chapter established in 1956. Currently, the society has 40 chapters.
