Athens, Ga. - High school students and their parents can learn about the college admissions process and how to apply for scholarships and financial aid at the fourth annual "Colleges in Your Backyard" event hosted by the University of Georgia Office of Undergraduate Admissions on Jan. 20 from 3-5 p.m. in the Chapel.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature a panel discussion with representatives from the UGA Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Office of Student Financial Aid as well as from the University of North Georgia and Piedmont College. A mini college fair in Terrell Hall, where the UGA Office of Undergraduate Admissions is located, will immediately follow the panel discussion and will include an opportunity for students and parents to receive additional information on each of the represented colleges and ask questions.

Free parking will be available in the North Campus Parking Deck, located on South Jackson Street across from Terrell Hall.
