UGA’s International Street Festival set for April 3

ATHENS, Ga. – The International Student Life office (ISL) and the Department of Student Activities at the University of Georgia will sponsor the Sixth Annual International Street Festival on Saturday, April 3, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on College Avenue in downtown Athens. The festival is designed to promote intercultural exchange and international understanding by “bringing the world to Athens”. It is free and open to the public.

Student organizations from more than twenty countries will display artwork, crafts, costumes, photographs, jewelry and other artifacts. Interactive performances, including music, dancing and live events, will showcase and celebrate cultures from around the globe. Last year the Festival attracted more than 2,000 people, both U.S. nationals and internationals.
