Food expert to give 2008 Woodroof Lecture on April 3 in Georgia Center

Philip E. Nelson, Scholle Chair Professor in Food Processing at Purdue University, will deliver the 2008 J.G. Woodroof Lecture entitled, “Industry-University Alliance,” at 2 p.m. April 3 in Masters Hall of the Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center and Hotel. 

Nelson was recently named the 2007 World Food Prize Laureate, deemed the “Nobel of Agriculture and Food.”

A reception following the lecture will be held in the center’s Atrium. The lecture is sponsored by the department of food science and technology and the UGA Food Science Club.
