Capturing Science deadline

The UGA Libraries and the Office of Research invite students to enter the Capturing Science Contest, a competition to encourage STEM engagement in innovative and interdisciplinary ways. The deadline for the contest is 5 p.m. on Dec. 2.

The contest, now in its third year, offers two prize categories: one for undergraduates and another for graduate students. Within each category, first place wins $1,000, second place receives $350 and third place earns $150. Submissions will be evaluated according to their clarity of expression, creativity and appeal to a broad audience. Group projects and multiple submissions are acceptable. Winners will be announced in January 2020.

Visit guides.libs.uga.edu/capturingscience for contest rules, previous winners and all past submissions. The contest site also includes commentary from contest judges explaining how previous winning entries exemplified the spirit of the contest.
