Ac-cell-erated research

The Charlotte Business Journal, in an article about his research into stem cells, quoted Stephen Dalton, professor of biochemistry and molecular biology and Georgia Research Alliance Eminent Scholar of Molecular Biology. His work focuses on induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS cells) that can turn into virtually any cell type.

“Our work with iPS cells will hopefully lead to the development of cell therapies for cardiovascular disease and stroke,” he said.
