Alumni donate $100 million to UCLA

A $100 million gift from alumni will be used by the University of California, Los Angeles, to bolster its School of Public Affairs and to build a conference center to foster dialogue among scholars, government officials and business leaders, The Chronicle of Higher Education reported.

The gift came from UCLA alumni and frequent donors Renee Luskin and Meyer Luskin, who is chairman and chief executive officer of Scope Industries. The gift will be split into two $50 million portions to equally fund the School of Public Affairs and the new center, the Chronicle reported.
