UGA names Anjali Dougherty interim internal auditing director

Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia recently named Anjali Dougherty interim director of its Internal Auditing Division. Her appointment is effective July 1 after current director Dale Wetzelberger retires.

Dougherty has been an auditor within the division since 2006.

“I am honored to received this opportunity and be a part of the transition,” Dougherty said of her appointment. “My job will be to make sure that the office continues to operate efficiently until a new director is hired.”

Before coming to UGA, Dougherty worked as a controller for a private company in Athens and as an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers, first as an associate in Philadelphia, Pa. and then as a senior associate in Miami, Fla. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania and is a certified public accountant.
