Arizona to allow guns on campuses

A new bill passed by Arizona lawmakers allows people to carry firearms, whether openly or concealed, on “public rights of way” on public colleges and universities, The Chronicle of Higher Education reported.

While the law permits guns on campus, it does not go so far as to allow firearms inside buildings or classrooms. Spaces deemed “public rights of way” includes public roads and adjacent sidewalks, the Chronicle reported.
