Asia’s new balance

The New York Times quotes ­Anupam Srivastava, executive director of UGA’s South Asia program, on the relationship between India and China, and how that affects the U.S. “It’s the start of the realignment of the balance of power in Asia,” Srivastava says of India’s current relationship with China. Regarding improved U.S.-India ties, and how that might affect China, “Neither India nor the U.S. is interested in any kind of containment of China,” he says.
