Old baseball cards get new home online

The Russell Library for Political Research at UGA has put the baseball card collection of the late U.S. Sen. Richard B. Russell online. It is one of the largest private collections of turn-of-the-century tobacco cards held by a public institution in the U.S.

The new site contains more than 1,000 baseball cards produced from 1909–1911.

Development of the site was a collaborative effort among library staff, the Digital Library of Georgia and the UGA Libraries’ systems department.
