The State Botanical Garden will hold its second annual Bluestems and Bluejeans Plant Sale and Family Event Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Open free to the public, the event is the place to buy native plants that are well-suited to the area, are an important food source for birds and pollinating insects, and can add color and beauty to gardens.
Special activities for children will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A list of more than 200 plant species that will be available at the sale is at http://www.botgarden.uga.edu.
