Build a better garden

Would-be master gardeners can learn from plant experts at the “Landscape Design Basics for the Do-It-Yourself Gardener” seminar Sept. 9 at the Student Learning Center.

The class, taught by UGA professors, teaches the basics of plant selection for your landscape and offers helpful hints for planting and secrets to make any garden sparkle with seasonal color. The $35 fee covers refreshments, lunch and class materials. The class runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. with registration starting at 8 a.m.
