An article published at PhysOrg.com quoted Sonia Altizer, an associate professor in the Eugene P. Odum School of Ecology at UGA.
The article focused on research Altizer did on the wing sizes and migratory patterns of monarch butterflies.
“Our study shows that we would lose an evolutionarily unique population if the migration of eastern monarchs were to unravel,” she said.
