The Office of Sustainability is encouraging the UGA community to take part in Clean Out Your Files Week March 11-18. During this time, additional paper recycling bins will be available throughout campus to help departments clean out office files including unwanted papers, files, magazines, books, cardboard, brochures and duplicates.
Even paper with paper clips and staples can even be recycled. For those looking to rid themselves of libraries of stale publications, further assistance in recycling hardback books can be obtained by e-mailing Andrew Lentini, recycling coordinator, at alentini@uga.edu.
This effort is a part of Recycle-mania, a 10-week competition between degree-granting institutions in North America to recycle the most material.
