COE faculty member wins two awards

Jimmy Williamson, a faculty member in the College of Education, was named the 2014 Postsecondary Teacher of the Year by the Georgia Association for Career and Technical Education.

An academic professional associate in the career and information studies department, Williamson also was named the 2014 Postsecondary Teacher of the Year by the Georgia Association of Teachers of Family and Consumer Sciences, a division of GACTE.

Williamson now will represent Georgia in the Association for Career & Technical Education Region II competition next fall. The region winners will then compete at the 2015 national conference held in December.
