Elissa R. Henken, Fellow by the American Folklore Society

English professor Elissa R. Henken was recently selected as a Fellow by the American Folklore Society. Henken teaches folklore and Celtic studies; her published work includes two books on legends about medieval Welsh saints, as well as articles on Civil War legendry and developments in contemporary horror legends. The American Folklore Society, founded in 1888, is an association of researchers who collect and study the folklore of groups from all countries and times.
