Environmental ethics program at UGA to celebrate 30 years with lecture

Author Charles Fishman will give a free public lecture on “Water Re-imagined” Nov. 20 at 5 p.m. in the Mahler Auditorium of the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. The event will include the lecture, a question-and-answer session and a book signing.

The event is co-sponsored by the College of Environment and Design and the Atlanta-based planning and landscape architecture firm HGOR in honor of the 30th anniversary of CED’s environmental ethics certificate program.

Fishman’s lecture will look at the history and future of water. He spent three years circling the globe-from Las Vegas to New Delhi-to uncover how the world of water is changing and what the implications are. New water attitudes and the connection between water and a number of professional fields also will be presented.
