UGA clubs, organizations on display at activities fair

Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia Center for Student Organizations will hold its annual Fall Activities Fair Sept. 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Tate Student Center plaza and north lawn. The fair is designed to introduce and recruit students to campus clubs and organizations.

More than 200 of the university’s 700 registered student organizations will staff booths at the fair, which is open to students, faculty, staff and members of the Athens community.

Joshua Podvin, senior coordinator of the CSO, said students who are actively involved in campus organizations will find their experiences at UGA to be more successful.

“Students who find a balance between their academic pursuits and time spent working with student organizations ultimately report higher levels of satisfaction with their college careers,” he said, citing information from studies in the field of student affairs.

For more information or a list of the organizations participating in the fair, call 706/542-8584 or see www.uga.edu/stuorgs/.

The Center for Student Organizations is a program within the UGA Division of Student Affairs.
