Fighting cancer on the run

This year’s Relay for Life is scheduled for April 2-3 at Spec Towns track.

The 18-hour relay is organized at UGA by the campus chapter of the American Cancer Society. Last year’s relay raised $187,000-the most successful college relay in the country for schools of more than 20,000 students.

Teams have been organized by student organizations, faculty groups, campus units, labs, offices. Each team keeps one member circling the track all night long, taking turns and cheering everyone on.
