Gas pressure

A story in the Manila, Philippines-based newspaper The Philippine Star about how increased use of genetically modified crops has reduced greenhouse gas emissions quoted Wayne Parrott, professor of crop and soil sciences.

“This consequently wipes out use of fuel for spraying. Prevention of emission of CO2 also comes largely from non-razing of more forest lands for agricultural use,” Parrott said. “This is without the need for more agricultural land due to higher yield from emerging farm technologies.”
