Generative AI Competition winners named

Students used AI to create projects impactful for UGA community

This spring, UGA students and student teams were invited to use AI to create something meaningful to enrich the UGA community/experience. Eight projects were submitted, ranging in topic from threatened species to schedules.

In April, the top three projects were determined by a panel of judges that included Chandler Christoffel, Frederick Maier, Aaron Meskin and Jeanette Taylor.

The winners and a digital showcase featuring all contest submissions can be found online at https://genaicontest.lmharding.com/.

The Generative AI Student Competition was co-sponsored by the Provost’s Office, the Office of Instruction and the Center for Teaching and Learning. It was facilitated by the Faculty Learning Community “Innovating with AI: In and Beyond the Classroom” and was co-coordinated by Lindsey Harding and Aaron Meskin.
