GMOA to present summer art program for elementary school-aged children

The Georgia Museum of Art will present “Art Adventures: Let’s Go!” in June and July. Day cares, day camps and community centers can participate in this free program focusing on adventure, travel and photography, which consists of a fun and interactive gallery tour and an art-making activity geared toward elementary schoolchildren.

On the tour, children will learn about the artist John Baeder and participate in activities designed to encourage dialogue and creativity including making their own works of  art inspired by their experience.

“Art Adventures” is an annual summer program at GMOA. Each year, it focuses on a new artist, theme or exhibition. This year’s theme “Let’s Go!” corresponds with the exhibition John Baeder, which runs until July 22 and features the photographs by the Atlanta artist.
