Kennesaw State gets new president

The University System of Georgia Board of Regents named Daniel S. Papp president of Kennesaw State University.

Over the past five years Papp served as senior vice chancellor for academics and fiscal affairs for the University System of Georgia and is expected to leave that role to assume his new position in mid-May.

Prior to his involvement with the University System, Papp served as interim president of Southern Polytechnic State University and executive assistant to the president at Georgia Tech. He also held visiting and research professor positions in China, Australia, Alabama and Pennsylvania. He is the author or editor of 10 books on topics ranging from international security policy to U.S. and Russian foreign and defense practices.
