Media Advisory: Tonight’s Hollowell Lecture canceled

Athens, Ga. – The fourth annual Donald L. Hollowell Lecture, scheduled for April 2 at 7 p.m. at the Morton Theatre in Athens, has been canceled.

The speaker, Tomiko Brown-Nagin, will be unable to appear at the scheduled time due to a flight delay. The lecture will be rescheduled at a later date.

Brown-Nagin, the Daniel P.S. Paul Professor of Constitutional Law and a professor of history at Harvard University, was to give a presentation titled “‘The Civil Rights Queen’: Constance Baker Motley and the Struggle for Racial and Gender Equality in America.”

The lecture is co-sponsored by the UGA Center for Social Justice, Human and Civil Rights, the UGA School of Social Work and The Foot Soldier Project for Civil Rights Studies.
