UGA to hold Minority and Small Business Expo March 28

Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia will hold its Minority and Small Business Expo III, “Building Purchasing Relations,” March 28, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Grand Hall of the Tate Student Center.

The expo is an opportunity for service and product suppliers to meet and network with UGA departments and purchasing decision-makers. In addition to networking opportunities, three sessions on doing business with UGA will be offered.The topics include a session on registering with the Team Georgia Marketplace at 9:30 a.m., a panel discussion on construction purchasing at 11 a.m., and a “Doing Business with UGA” session at 1 p.m.Vendors will have the opportunity to meet with potential customers, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The expo is open to all vendors regardless of their business classification. Admission is free, and registration is available online; pre-registration is encouraged. Go to www.busfin.uga.edu/procurement and click on “UGA Expo.” In each of the past two years, this event has connected more than 200 vendors with nearly 100 campus and community purchasers.

Parking will be available in the Tate Student Center parking deck, located at the intersection of Baxter and Lumpkin streets.
