Two Missouri universities partner to create campus in Chinese province

The University of Missouri at St. Louis and the Missouri University of Science and Technology announced plans to build a campus in China’s Sichuan province, The Chronicle of Higher Education reported.

The new university, which will partner with the Chinese Tianfu College, will be called Sichuan Missouri University. Students enrolling in the new institution will spend their first two years in China and then move to Missouri to finish. The new campus comes on the heels of announcements by Duke and New York universities that they also are building campuses in China, the Chronicle reported.
