Native Plant Symposium to help gardeners create beautiful, sustainable habitats

Athens, Ga. – The State Botanical Garden of Georgia will host its annual Native Plant Symposium Jan. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This year’s symposium will emphasize sustainability and plantings that support pollinating insects. Presentations will focus on native plants for pollinators, pollination and fertilization in flowering plants, sustainable landscaping and Monarch butterflies and bees.

The cost is $60 and includes the symposium and lunch. This event is presented by the State Botanical Garden and the Garden Club of Georgia Inc. For more information or to register for the symposium, see botgarden.uga.edu or call 706/542-6156.
